2004年9月にJUDEとして『ZHIVAGO』をリリースした浅井健一が、今回はSHERBETSとしては前作『VIETNAM 1964』から約3年半ぶりとなる4thアルバム『Natural』をリリース。「フクロウ」「ジュース物語」「ライトブルー」をはじめ、軽やかにして繊細、洗練された美しさにあふれたアルバムとなっている。コミカルな反戦歌「Baby Revolution」も新鮮。

発売されてから毎日、深夜にひとりで聴いている。もう全曲歌えるようになりました。

レヴューのタイトルは１曲目「フクロウ」の歌詞なのですが、このアルバムはまさしくそんな感じ。
ベンジーと福士さんの声や、仲田さんのベースもまさに「深い海の光」、「フクロウ」のように優しい存在感。

このアルバムを聴いてから寝ると、ほんとうに安心して眠りにつける、素晴らしい明日がやってくる、そんなふうに思える清らかな絶対の名盤です。

止まっていた時計は再び動き出し、シャーベッツは深化した透明度を放つ。
前作の破綻した世界観とは違い、本来のシャーベッツが持っているうちに秘めた光が降り注いでいるような作品。

SHERBETSは浅井健一のバンドでは今ある中で一番好きなのでとても楽しみだった。風邪を引いていたらしいテイクは、取り直したやつよりも良かったらしくそのまま使われています。JUDEで新たな冒険をした浅井健一は新しい感性を身につけて帰って来たように思える。僕は「トラベルセンター」があったかくて好きだった。どれも綺麗な曲って感じで、ロックでもゴシックぽかったり落ち着いたアルバムでいいです。ぶっとんだ反戦ソングもあるし。
