UKのポスト・エレクトロニカ・ロック4人組による
2001年の『Cold House』以来となる6thフルアルバム。

前作で見せていた
アングラ・エレクトロ・ヒップホップを隠し味に
ノイズ、エレクトロ・エフェクト、ストリングス・ドローンを加えつつ
メランコリックなギター、ピアノなどの美しい響きを生かした
素晴らしく素敵な「うた」を聴かせる。

繊細で美しいメロディ・ラインに磨きがかかり
ダビーなサウンド・スケープは、いよいよ深く
荒涼とした中に、柔らかい光が微妙に脈打ち
物悲しくも、包み込まれるような優しさを感じる
素晴らしい仕上がり。

スロウ・モーションで見た
揺れる草原のような
微妙な空気感を感じる
独特のメランコリック感が絶品。

The Cycle of Days & Seasons を聴いて惚れ込み，購入しました。The Cycle of Days & Seasons しか聴いていないので，この2枚以外のHood のアルバムとは比較できませんが，The Cycle of Days & Seasons　と比較すると，ポップなサウンドだと思います。
彼らの音楽のジャンル，及び，広く言われている彼らの音楽的特徴は，既出ですので言及しません。歌い方の特徴としては，聴き手に語りかけるような囁き，という形容ができるのではないでしょうか。
本アルバムの内容は，1曲目の10秒程度のIntroductionから始まり，2曲目のThe Negativesへと繋がっていきます。個人的には，EPとしてリリースされているThe Lost You，様々な民族楽器によって奏でられているような印象を受け，神聖な感覚を覚えるL. Fading Hills，語りかけるようなボーカルとストリングス，バックコーラスが印象的なClosureを中心に聴いています。

基本的に前作と同じ路線。しかし、最早ラップトップ・グリッチノイズを完璧自分達の音と昇華させてる様は見事としか言いようがない。夜中に、一人でひっそりと聴きましょう。心が洗われます。
