soweluに興味はあったもののpopsなのかR&Bなのか良くわからないそのスタンスのため
結局、アルバムを手に入れるほどの興味はわかなかった。

このDo u remeber thatはあの、michico&T kuraプロデュースのrb夫婦による
soweluのR&Bの要素を最大限引き出した極上のメロウソングです。
SOWELUのフェイクを始める声を呑む瞬間のセクシーさと声を伸ばした時の清涼感を見事にミックスした
michicoのヴォーカルプロデュースとバックコーラスが素晴らしい。

(3)のリミックスは甘い原曲をパーティ向けに程よくアクセントを聞かせた好リミックスで、
原曲が好きな人はこのリミックスもきっと手に入れたほうがいいと思います。

(2)のmoon on the waterと言う曲は一転アコースティックな曲であるにもかかわらず
こちらもsoweluの声の清涼感を予想外に(!!)生かした好曲です。

この一枚にsoweluの声とR&Bの魅力は凝縮されていると思います。
下手にアルバムに手を出すよりいいこともあるかも。

Moon on the Waterは、アルバム未収録で、このMAXIのみの収録。
(Sowelu独唱版は、BECKサントラにも未収録。)
個人的には、本CDは同曲のシングル盤と思って入手しました。

逆に、同曲以外の彼女の楽曲は、今のところ、シングル/アルバム
とも甘くるしい味付けで、三十路過ぎには少々苦しいところ・・・。
newシングルが出る度に、Moon on the Waterのように透明感が
あって、かつ、清涼感・清潔感あふれる楽曲となっていることを
期待しつつ試聴しているものの、どうにもミスマッチが続きます。

(もちろん、個人の嗜好を基準にして、のお話しなのですが。)

Soweluの２ndアルバム「Sweet Bridge」からのシングルカットなので、
アルバムを持っているなら、無理に買う必要は無いでしょう。しかし、
このＣＤに収録の「Moon On The Water」はアニメ「ＢＥＣＫ」に使用
された曲で、アニメではとても効果的に使われていて、いい曲です。
そんなこの曲を聴きたい人はどうぞ買ってください。
