ゼノギアス、クロノ・クロスなどの作曲で知られる、光田康典と幻想水滸伝の曲を手がけた東野美紀の、夢のコラボレーション作品。
ＰＳ2ソフト「ツキヨニサラバ」のオリジナルサウンドトラック全２０曲が収録されています。
すべての曲が、ジャズを基調にまとめられていて、とてもハードボイルドでクールな印象のある作品です。
ジャズは聴き慣れないという方にもお勧めです。斬新ながらも、耳に馴染む感じに仕上がっていると思います。２０曲全てが、ジャズを基調としていますが、ロックやシャンソン、ブルース、ヒップホップなどのいろいろなジャンルの要素を含んでいて、一曲一曲が個性的な魅力をもっています。それに、随所随所に彼らの、今までの音楽的な特徴がもりこまれています。
ゲームをプレイしていない方が聴かれても、十分に満足されるでしょう。ゲームのサントラの枠を超えて楽しめると思います。
彼らの新たな一面を見れる一枚です。

そして、１９曲目（ＭＡＲＩＡ）では光田さんが、２０曲目（ＬＵＬＬＡＢＡＹ）では東野さんが、オリジナルの歌詞を書かれています。
是非、注目して聞いて頂きたいところです。

光田さん、東野さんの既存の曲が好きな方には、少々驚く内容かと思います。
ジャズテイストなので、曲のモチーフも掴みにくいし、覚えにくいです。
ただ、何度も聴き込んでいるうちに、自然と耳に馴染んできます。
光田さんの曲は、たまにピアノの部分が「光田節」ですし。

東野さんがこういう曲をかかれる、というほうが意外でした。
一番最後の曲、何度も聴いているうちに、とても好きになりました。

光田・東野、両方のファンから酷評されているようだけど、これはこれで悪くない。
ジャズというジャンルが、スタイリッシュ系（別名MATRIX系）のくせにどこか古臭いビジュアル、というあのゲームの雰囲気に合っている。
ジャズの世界は殆ど知らないが、そういうのを知らない人たちでも、すんなりと入っていけるものを作るって言うのは、素晴らしいことです。
アップテンポの生演奏のナンバーが燃える。演奏力も高い。

しかし、打ち込み系の曲は非常に淡白でつまらない。
そこがマイナス点か。
