一曲目から、故大村憲司氏のすごいギターが聴けます。
色々な意味でこのアルバムは特別な一枚です。
何と言うか、軽い気持ちで聴きたくないので
聴く前には、ついつい姿勢を正してしまうような。

「その日は、みんなでネ。」というコピーが示唆するように
幸宏さんの才能のみならず、細野氏や教授の絶妙な味付けや、
良き音楽仲間に恵まれて生まれた一枚なんだと
今ふたたび実感しています。

本当に神経症っぽい音に作られた傑作。楽曲の良さが際立っている名盤。

アルバム音楽殺人で色濃かったモータウン色は若干影を潜め、
多分に Bryan Ferry とニューロマンティックという当時イギリスで
一大ムーブメントを起こしたニューウェーブの影響が色濃い。

参加ミュージシャンも日英の切れ者が名を連ねバランスの良いサポートも聴き所。

当時YMOは坂本、細野、両氏の影響が強く言われていたが、
これを聞けばいかに当時のYMO色は彼なしでは語れないというのがわかる。

幸宏私家版「BGM」といった趣だが現代音楽臭が漂う「BGM」に対して
当時のUltravoxやRoxy musicに共通するロマンティシズムが甘美な本作
の方を愛してやまない。複雑かつストイックなドラミングも快感。
「Drip Dry Eyes」はサンディに提供した曲のセルフカヴァーだがスカ
サウンドの原曲よりこちらのクールなアレンジのほうが数段上の出来。
「Something in the Air」とともに初期幸宏を代表する名曲。
