JAM時代のyukiの歌は主張が強く、何かを訴えかけてくるような感じがしました。それはそれで大好きだったのですが、時として、聴いている僕のほうが疲れてしまうこともあり、ここ数年は遠ざかっていたのです。

しかしこのアルバム、歌っているのは彼女なのに、こちらの話を聞いてもらっているような気持ちになる音楽です。とても軽快な音楽を、軽やかにのびのびと、余裕しゃくしゃくで歌っています。どこにも攻撃性や「訴え」みたいな力みは感じられません。彼女は優しい笑顔で手を差し伸べ、聴き手は素直にその手をとってしまう。「心は軽くなきゃね」と彼女は言うけれど、その目は聴き手の悲しみを知っている。心の痛みは二人だけの秘密。そして広がる空の下へ聴き手を連れ出す。あとはただ体がリズムを刻み、聴き手は歌い手とともに歩き出すだけです。

僕らは年をとった。それはすばらしいことだ。

きらりと光る曲がいくつかありますが、アルバム全体として鑑賞すべき名盤だと思います。

どの曲も良いです。舞い上がれが一番テンション上がります。全曲、愛が感じられるけど、ティンカーベルが子守歌のように聞こえるのは俺だけ?Home Sweet Homeはジーンとして涙がポロリでます。

YUKIさんは本当にすごい。だって、聴いてる人全員を、
包み込めちゃうんだから。こっちの悲しみとか、怒りとか、
寂しさとかを、分かってくれてるみたいだ。
嬉しさを、倍にしてくれるみたいだ。
このアルバムをきくと、そう思う。

舞い上がれ、は思わず踊ってしまいそうになったり、
スウィートセブンティーンは、泣きそうになったり。
愛し合えばはうらやましかったり、
Home Sweet Homeは、まるでお母さんのように語りかけてくれる。
なんだか自然に、癒されてく。ずっと聞いてても疲れない。

すっごく、オススメですよ。素直になれる気がする。
