毎度パッケージがイイ味出している犬神ですが、このスケ番ロックのパッケージにはちょっと引いちゃいました。（笑）

しかし、中身は犬神です！
確かに曲のテーマが今までと違ったり、語りが無かったり…と、神の犬信者としてはガッカリな内容ですが、受け入れやすいメロディやカッコイイギターソロ、さらには曲ごとに変わる、凶子さんの風味ある歌声・・・。インディーズで蓄えた力をここで一気に爆発させた感じですね。
犬神をこのアルバムで知った人には、是非ともインディーズ時代の曲を聴いてもらいたいです。こういった深みのある曲を作るバンドが、生きることや死ぬことの真意を文学的に考え、歌を通して真剣に伝えようとしているということが、分かると思います。

昔からのファンは、ドンドン毒っぽさが無くなって行くのが悲しいかもしれませんが、このアルバムは直接的な表現を控えた割りにとても棘のある仕上がりになっています。
とにかく曲に勢いがあってスリリング。リフはどこからからの借物風ですが、懐かしの80年代メタル風味がとてもエキサイティング。
凶子ワールドも、「哀愁」という方向に進んだのが大正解でした。
恐々しさの中に妖艶さが渦巻くものすごいボーカリストに成長し、唯一無比の存在感を撒き散らしながらも、ちょっと可愛いのが見逃せない。
自分達をもっと上手に演出できるようになったら、ますます飛躍していけそうなそんな予感のするアルバムです。

っていいですね。今もＣＤ聴きながらこのコメントを書いてるのですが、なんだかおこがましい気がしてきました。犬神さんの音らしくない、いわゆるドロドロ系？感じではあるのですが、その分メタルーーっていう疾走感が格好良いです。聴いていてスカッとするというか、そのムードにどっぷり漬かれる感じかなぁ。国内で母国語で歌ってくれるメタルっていいですね、何をいいたいかよーく解るし。でも、犬神さんらしい曲も入っていて、ついつい何度も聴きたくなるＣＤです。私はドーロドログッチャグチャが元々好きではあるのですが、このＣＤ気に入りました。「殺したい女」いいです。女の世界にはホント色々あって、アタシは女モード捨ててるのですが、ウーム解るゾといった、ある意味なつかしさをも覚えました。
意味不明になってしまったのですが、どの曲も飽きないです。グー。
