80年代は全体的にシンセっぽい特有の音が苦手なのですが
これはシンプルなバンドサウンドのグルーヴ感があって意外な驚きでした。
ジュリーのこの当時のライブ音源は、一般的にはもはや動画サイトでしか聴けません。
でもやはり彼の本領はライブで発揮されると個人的には思います。
このアルバムではそれがさりげなく聴けてしまいますｗ

この当時は70年代後期の力強い声量と、深みを増した艶のある声が同時に存在していて
聴きごたえがあります。
あまり古さを感じさせない普遍性があるのは、彼しか持ちえない表現力によるものでしょう。
バッチュニンのカラコンで軽いイメージを持たれがちですが、アートデザインもやりすぎでなく素晴らしいし、今ならもっと評価されていいのではないでしょうか。

女性との恋愛にうつつを抜かすお調子者風な歌詞が目立ち、
これを主に女性の作詞家が書いていることで、
不快にならない程度が保たれています。
曲も明るく気軽に乗れるものが並び、
「時の過ぎ行くままに」や「LOVE（抱きしめたい）」を
歌っていた歌手と同一人物とは思えません。
ジュリー＝華やかなスターという印象を求める人に当時ぴったりのアルバムだったのでは
ないでしょうか。

ジャケのアートが美しい、中性的ですよね、シングル曲の「恋のバッドチューニング」はちょっとイマイチな感がありましたが「みんないい娘」が意味深で好きでした。
