55年から05年まで50年分の名曲をCD2枚(36曲)にまとめようというのが土台無理な話。

ビートルズは？　ストーンズは？　ツェッペリンは？　ニルヴァーナは？？？　
と当然入れるべきグループが多々もれている。

U2ならあの曲だろ！　KISSなら…　ディランなら…
とツッコミのひとつも入れたくなる。

さらには各年代でバランスよく選曲されていると思いきや、
'50・1曲、'60・3曲、'70・12曲、'80・9曲、'90・5曲、'00・6曲と非常に偏っている。
また、USが多いのはしょうがないと思うが、それでもUSバンドが半数以上(25組)も選ばれているのに対し、UK勢はわずか7組…(他4組)。
選者の趣味(US系HR/HMメイン)によって編集されているとしか思えん。

とは言うものの、語り継がれる名曲、これからそうなるであろう最新ヒット曲など入っている。
まあ、「買っておいても損はないだろう」程度で。

悪くないけど、ちょっと物足りない。
面子はいいが、それぞれの代表曲からちょっと外れているような気がする。

17の曲マリリンモンローじゃなくてマリリンマンソンでしょう
（ミスなんて始めて見た）

自分としてはもっといれるべき名曲があるんじゃないかと思います。
いまいちこれぞロックというものが少ない。いい曲もあるんですが・・・
