根底に流れるリラックスした音楽性は変わらないが、前2作より明るい印象だ。
聴きながら自然に体が横揺れリズムをとってしまっていた。
寒い冬の日だって、じめじめした雨の日だって彼の音楽を聞けば気持ち良く晴れた日のような気分になれる気がする。

日本盤のボーナストラックは、G．LOVEとのライブ曲。
ハープの入ったアレンジもかっこよく、5月に行われるG．LOVEを引き連れてのライブの盛り上がりが早くも伝わってくるようだった。
ほんと、かっこいい人だなぁ・・・としみじみ思います。

やっぱ何回聴いても素敵だった。
ゆったりしたリズム、繰り返される波のような心地よさ・・・
でも、今回はそれに加えてボサノバだったり、
生活の中で生まれた「バナナ・パンケーキ」などは小刻みいいテンポで
今までの心地よさに加えて彼の生活しているリズムがうかがえてよかった。

特典ＤＶＤは、彼の大事にしている家族・仲間など引き込まれる世界があって
心地いいものだった。
気取っていないジャックを見れるは必見！

Jack Johnson・・・これだけメジャーになっても彼はスタイルを崩さずに、そして毎回ほんの少しずつ新しいモノを取り入れている・・・もちろん基本のスタイルを変えることなく・・・これがJack Johnsonのいいところだと思います。ライフスタイルをそのまま曲にしたようなメローなアルバムは忙しさに追われている我々が忘れかけている一番大切なものを思い出させてくれるようです。

前作『オン・アンド・オン』はビルボード・アルバム総合チャート初登場3位を記録。サーフィンという全く違う世界からのアプローチにしてはすごい快挙ですよね。

今回のIn Between Dreamsも今までのようなメローな感じばかりではなくミディアムやアップテンポの曲も収録されて飽きの来ない仕上がりで
これも又高く評価されることでしょう。
