Richard AnderrssonによるSPACE ODYSSEYとしての2nd。

私は前作を持っていないので比較出来ないのですが、このアルバムは曲によってかなりTime Requiemに近いと思いました。
Time Requiemは正に私のツボなので、このアルバムはかなり大満足です。

今回のドラムが17歳なんて信じられません!!!

更に、「私の特に好きなメタル系シンガーTOP10」に入っているニルス・パトリック・ヨハンソンのヴォーカルが凄まじい!!!
なんたって、一人でデュエットとかしちゃってますからwww

勿論リチャードも、これでもかっ!!!ってほど弾いちゃってますw

楽曲的にも捨て曲がないような気がします。(多分私がパトリックを好きだから、彼が歌えば好きなのかも・・・)
あえて不満を言えば、スネアの音質がやたらパコパコいってるのと、ベースが奥に引っ込んでいるミックスがちょっと気になったかも…。

でもアルバムの完成度には文句ないです♪♪♪

古典様式美派からプログレ愛好者、はたまた疾走感を重視するメロディック・スピードメタラーにいたるまで、幅広い層に高いレベルでアピールする楽曲を揃えるネオクラシカル・メタルプロジェクト第2段アルバム。ストレートなネオクラ作品であった1stに比べて、ダークなプログレッシブオーラを覆うRichard Anderssonの別プロジェクト：Time Requiem的な側面を強めた作風になっています。縦横無尽に駆け回るギター＆Keyの極めてレベルの高いインストバトルは圧巻で、聴く者を圧倒します。同時にRonnie James Dioを想起させるPatrik Johanssonのボーカルも特筆すべきで、インスト陣に負けず劣らずの強い存在感を放ちます。曲の質・演奏レベル共に様式美メタル界のトップクラスに位置するものを携えた、界隈の未来を背負った重要なバンドであるといえるでしょう。

　“鍵盤の魔術師”リチャード・アンダーソン<Key>率いるプロジェクトの第２弾。

　前作では比較的ストレートなネオ・クラシカル・スタイルのHMを披露したが、今回はリチャードのもうひとつのバンド、TIME REQUIEMにも通じる、叙情性と技巧が巧みに組み合わされたプログレ・メタル的要素が強いアルバムに仕上がっている。
　
　超絶技巧を駆使したリチャードとマグナス・ニルソン<G>による火の出るような、スリリングなインタープレイ、先日新作を発表したASTRAL DOORSでも活躍するニルス・パトリック・ヨハンソン<Vo>の圧倒的パワーを誇る歌唱は圧巻。前作以上の完成度を誇る強力盤だ。

　ただ、余りにTIME REQUIEMの音楽性に近い為、今後の差別化が問題かも…？
