ルパンサウンド生みの親である大野雄二さんによる「Lupin The Third Jazz」シリーズの9作目。
今作も前作同様、大野さんのオリジナルとスタンダード＆Othersという内容です。

まず全部聴いて思った事は、さらにオシャレにシックで、リラックスした演奏。まさに「Cool」なのです！
決して派手ではなく、エキサイトしすぎないシンプルなPlay。
だから、一人の大切な時間にしっくりと、しっとりと染み込んでくるのではないかと思います。
「俺が俺が」の主張、というのではなくて、その曲の良さがしみじみ感じられる演奏です！癒されます。

「Cool For Joy」タイトルになっているこの曲、渋すぎ。かっこよすぎ。すごいです！！今後スタンダードとしてこの世に残ってくれるといいな~と強く思う1曲です。
「Fairy Night」その昔、ルパンの挿入歌だったこの曲。ちょっとセクシーで可愛らしい曲で好きだったんですが、今回初めてLupin Jazzの仲間入り。しかし！冒頭から驚きますよ~！いきなり・・・あ、ここから先は言えません。（ナンテネ~）
この他に、バカラックからのナンバーや、マンシーニの映画音楽など、広いジャンルから優れた作品をチョイスして、CoolなJazzに味付けしてしまうところはさすが、大野シェフ！

自分に贅沢なごほうびをあげたい、そんなひとときに、しっとりと聴ける貴重な一枚です！！

ジャズピアニストであり、アレンジャーでもある大野雄二さんのもはや一大シリーズモノとなった感さえある「Lupin the third Jazz」シリーズの最新作。

全10曲の構成で単にアニメのルパン三世の音楽をジャズ風にアレンジしたような安直なものではないことは、今更申し上げるまでもないでしょう。

今回はオリジナルの書き下ろし曲もあり、スタンダードナンバーもあり、そしてルパンの曲のアレンジもあり。
これまでの「Lupin the third Jazz」シリーズ定番のピアノトリオとは異なり、今回はギター、ビブラホン、サックス、トランペット、フルート、パーカッション、シンセサイザーなどのゲストミュージシャンも参加しています。

骨太で、それでいてシャレていて、洗練された、上質なアルバムとなっております。
ここのところ、私の通勤時のドライブミュージックとして大活躍中です。

こんなCDがBGMにかかっているお店だと落ち着いたひとときが過ごせそうですね。

曲目はルパンのテーマ曲だけじゃないんですが，出だしから「おっ」と思わせるようなルパンぽさがいいですね．ジャズを純粋に好きな人でも，ルパンファンでもどちらでも聞ける大変ムーディーな曲が並んでいます．
これは長く聞けそうです．
