元カーカス、現アーク・エネミーのマイケル・アモット主導の別バンド、スピリチュアル・ベガーズの「オン・ファイア」('０２)に次ぐ通算６枚目のアルバムです。／ハード・ロック、ブルーズ・ロック、プログレッシヴ・ロック等が渾然一体となって「ロック」の奥深さをアピールしていた７０年代ロックの音楽的世界観を正統に継承して現代に甦らせることのできる数少ないバンドだと思います。／基本的な音楽的路線はこれまでの作品と同様で、アグレッシブなシャッフル、７０年代プログレ寄りの大作指向、ファンク・グルーブなど様々な方法論で先人達に肉薄する非常に完成度の高いロックを聴かせてくれます。／今作では特にマイケル・アモットの奏でるギターがこれまで以上に素晴らしく、要所要所で彼の持ち味である泣きのギターを聴くことができて、これが高度にアレンジされた楽曲陣に更なる魅力を持たせることに成功していると思います。／また今作からベーシストにアーク・エネミーにも参加しているシャーリー・ダンジェロを迎えており、緊張感のあるグルーヴに磨きがかかっていますし、前作でその実力は証明済みのＪＢの歌唱も大きな聴き所だと思います。／綿密に計算された作品構成でトータルで５０分弱とコンパクトにまとめられており、何度も聴きかえせます。／昨今、名盤という言葉が氾濫していますが、今作は本物だと思います。

スピベガの約2半ぶりの新譜。
正直「AD ASTRA」の完成度があまりに高すぎた為か、せっかくの「ON FIRE」の楽曲群が平坦に、そして霞んでしまったかに感じました。
しかしこの「DEMONS」はライナーノーツにもある通りのDP/RAINBOW/SABBATHなど70年代のHRを彷彿させるようなリフと
キャッチーさ、特にトラック２と４は久しぶりにツボにきました。
ちなみにボーナスCDとしてLIVE IN JAPAN （8曲）のオマケ付き。これだけでも十分うれしい。

ｱｰｸｴﾈﾐｰのﾌｧﾝなのでマイケルの別ﾊﾞﾝﾄﾞはどんなもんか？と思いCDを買って聞いてみた所、本当にいい曲が目白押しでヤバイっす。捨て曲ゼロでマイケル兄さんのギターの泣きフレーズが最高です！全体的に音質も良くｼｬｰﾘｰのベースの音もしっかり聞こえてライブに迫る迫力が伝わってきます。ｱｰｸｴﾈﾐｰが売れてｽﾋﾟﾍﾞｶﾞが影に隠れてしまっているけど本当のﾊｰﾄﾞﾛｯｸを聴きたい方は買って損は無いと思います。酒が呑みたくなる１枚です　超オススメ
