　ＳＨＹといえば、名作「Excess All Areas」が金字塔のように語られますが、本作は少し指向が違います。
　「Excess」が躍動感溢れるティーン・エイジャー向けのハード・ポップなら、本作は憂いを湛えた落ち着きある、大人向けのハード・ポップです。
　しかし、もちろん、「Excess」で聴ける突出した「ポップ・センス」と英国らしい「湿り気」も健在、いや、ますます磨きがかかっているほどです。
　このバンドの好き・嫌いは、Vo.トニー・ミルズの特徴あるハイトーン・ヴォイスで決まるのではないかと思います。「クセになるか」ｏｒ「生理的にダメ」。
　「トニー・ミルズが好き」で「しっとりした曲に浸りたい」方はマストです。

　英国のメロディアス・ハード・ロック・バンド、SHYの前作から約１年半振りとなる再結成第２弾アルバム。本作から新たに、ジョー・バスキッツ<Key>とイアン・リチャードソン<G：ex-SIAM>が加入、ツインギター編成となっている。

　トニー・ミルズ<Vo>の透明感溢れるハイトーン・ヴォーカルを活かした、ポップで叙情的な哀愁のメロディアス・ハード・ロック・サウンドは本作に於いても健在。以前よりも若干ソフトなAOR路線の曲が増えたようにも感じられるが、その一方で、2ndギタリストが入った効果か、以前よりも音が分厚くなった様にも感じられる。前作収録の“Breakaway”の様な突出した曲こそないものの、全曲軽く水準を超えた佳曲揃いの秀作だ。

　それにしても、スティーヴ・ハリスのギターが素晴らしい。弾きまくるところは弾きまくり、泣かせるところは大いに泣かせる。つぼを心得た彼の叙情美、構築美溢れるギタープレイは益々磨きが掛かっており、その素晴らしさはニール・ショーン<JOURNEY>に匹敵すると言っても過言ではないだろう。本年度の私的ベスト・ギタリストは彼に決定！

前作が非常にコンパクト、流麗なmelodyだったのに対して今作は一言で言うと「流麗なmelody＋重厚」という感じ。コンパクトさ（例えば曲の長さ）はなくなったが、よく練られて書かれているな、と感じさせる。ギターソロがよく泣いていてGood,twin guitarの分厚さも。全曲が「ああ、UKのmelodious bandだなー」としみじみ感じさせる好作。勿論、曲のqualityは良。
