このゲームはただボタンを印に合わせてカチカチ押しているだけのゲームなのにかなりはまります！（だからこそ？）
１プレイの時間もさほどかからないし、やりたいゲームが無いときや、そんなにゲームって気分じゃないけど暇…って時にはもってこい！寝る前にちょっとやってたつもりが、ついつい何時間も、、慣れないうちは飽きやすいですが、慣れれば暇つぶしに最適です！
DJについて語っている方もいますが、DJになりたいからやってる人はたぶんいません！ビーマニが好きな人はビーマニが好きなんです☆
とにかく気軽にやれる最高のゲーム☆

音質・画質に関して高い向上が見られます。
前作までに収録された曲をプレーしてみると聞こえる音の量が
大分変っていました。キーのボリュームもアーケードのように
BGMよりも大き目に設定されているので、ヘビーナンバーでも
その迫力を存分に味わうことが出来ます。この辺り非常に良かった。
インターフェースの書き換えに関しても良い。

ただし相変わらず各曲の詳細なスコアを保存してくれないので
そこは不満です。何故7thまでで実装していたシステムを態々
消さなければならないのか理解に苦しみます。

ＡＣ版では、9th styleからゲームエンジンが新しくなり（カスタマイズされたwindowsXPがベース…）、様々な挑戦が見られた…が、新システム移行で若干問題点も多かった。
しかし、PS2で生まれ変わったIIDX 9thは、これまでのシリーズを根底から覆す最高の出来。解像度＆音質が飛躍的にアップ。統一感があり、スタイリッシュなゲームデザイン。そして、「quasar」「moon_child」「No.13（先行収録）」といった名曲（ただし高難度曲）も多いこの作品では、ここにきてようやく完成形を垣間見るといってもいいだろう。
家庭用新曲「photongenic」は待望のＬ.Ｅ.Ｄ.のドラムンベース、家庭用ポップンミュージックから人気曲「Usual Days」のリミックスと「beyond the earth」。非常に充実した内容となっている。

相変わらず初心者には敷居の高い作品で、今回は特に低難易度譜面が若干品薄。この作品から、は少々キツイかも知れないが、練習すればするほど上達するので、是非挑戦してもらいたい。

ちなみに、「Be Rock U」はヴォーカルがデジっ娘からTЁЯRA（ｊｕｎ）へ、「MARIA（believe...)」はポーラ・テリーだが、CS9th用に再収録されたものとなっており、若干アーケード版とは異なるので注意。オリジナル版はゲームセンターにてお楽しみを。
