魅力的な楽曲で隙無く固められたロック･アルバム。全11曲、捨て曲と呼べる
代物が皆無で、印象的なメロディが途絶えることなく流れていく。
洋楽初心者を始め、広い層にお奨めしたいエモーショナルで普遍的な作品だ。
2003年発表の1stからたった2年で随分と成長したなぁ・・と子を見守る親の
心境で目を細めてしまう。

澄み切った空に染み渡っていくような、爽やかで前向きな楽曲が多いが、
どの曲も仄かな憂いを帯びており、それがまた好み。突出したキラー･チューン
が無いのは残念だが、強力なフックを持つ曲ばかりで飽きがこない。
何度でも繰り返し聴ける耐久性の高いアルバムと言える。

弾けるような青春ソング#3、ムーディーな雰囲気を漂わせるバラード#4、
シングル向けのポジティブ･チューン#5、劇的でドラマティックな展開を
みせる（この手のメロディが前作には欠けていた）#8と魅力的な楽曲が
続く中、最後を締める#11"dance, dance Christa Paffgen"こそが
ANBERLINの新境地。6分を超える彼等にしては長い時間の中に、狂おしい
ほどの情感と熱いメロディがこれでもかと詰め込まれている。中間部の
煽情的なインスト・パートなど、アレンジがまた見事。

今後ブレイク間違い無しの存在。

どの曲も安心して聴ける上に、聞いた後ジ〜ン…と余韻の残るアルバムです。
全体的に切なくも爽やかな印象の曲が多い中、激情溢れる2曲目は涙無くして聴けません！もちろん、どの曲も良いんですけど…
ボーカルの声は透明感があってとてもきれいですよ。また、見てみると歌詞も実に繊細で美しいです。
洋楽初心者の私でしたが、本当に聞きやすい作品でした。老若男女問わず、どなたにもおすすめの作品です＾＾

anberlinはこの2ndアルバム、Never Take Friendship Personal から買いましたが、実に心を打たれるエモの作品で1stも買ってしまった勢いです。ヴォーカルの歌声に特徴があり、とても聞きほれてしまいました。

音の一つ一つにこだわっている感じがして、ポップさもあれば、柔らかい曲もあり、全曲いいです。確実に前作よりもレベルが上がっていますし、もうかっこいいの一言に尽きます。落ち込んでいるとき、楽しいとき、どんなときにも聴ける感じです。

全曲いいですが、おすすめは、Day Lateです。一度聴いてみてください。
