   デビュー10年を迎えての5作目のアルバム。ダブ、ラガ、ドラムン・ベース、ロックを縦横無尽に駆け抜けるサウンドにポリティカルなリリックを乗せる手法を確立して久しい彼らだが、その鮮度は落ちていない。シングル「フライオーヴァー」を筆頭に、今では懐かしさすら感じさせるドラムン・ベースも彼らの手にかかるとハッとするほど刺激的。歌詞も9.11直後の傷跡を表現した前作に対し、「タンク」「オイル」ではイラク戦争における英米政府の欺瞞を暴きたてるなど、反骨の剣は輝きを増している。それでいて、どの曲にも強烈なフックがあり、過激さとポップさのバランスが絶妙な傑作となっている。

   バンドのセルフ・プロデュースに加え、“アディショナル・プロダクション”担当としてジュノ・リアクターのベン・ワトキンスがクレジットされているのにも注目。日本盤には「フライオーヴァー」リミックスとビデオ、そして前作からの「フォートレス・ヨーロッパ」を収録している。（山崎智之）

重い腰をあげたい時きいてしまうADF。
じっとしていられないジャングルビートは健在。
時々、ん？これ普通のラップの曲みたい・・と思わせたののもつかの間
彼らのビートが回りだして一安心。
エスニックなテイストも変わらずで独特の音は健在。
政治的なメッセージの対訳がついた邦盤はより彼らのことを知ることができるのでおすすめ。
へー、こんなこと歌ってたんだーと思いましたよ。

ダブといったらASIAN DUB FOUNDATION、のニューアルバム。東芝EMIからの発売ですが、このアルバムはCCCDじゃありません。
ジャケットは青空に戦車の軌跡（？）でしょうか、とにかく、アルバムの内容にマッチしています。
メロディは突き抜けるようにメロディアスかつエキゾチック、リズムも爽快で青空のようです。
が、その歌詞は非常にハード。今の政治への不満があふれ出ています。そのラップは言葉のマシンガンのよう。
ボーナストラックは“フライ・オーヴァー”のリミックスとなぜか“フォートレス・ヨーロッパ”。価値があるのは対訳カードでしょうか。

今までのに比べると、刺激が足りなく感じた。ＤＶＤ再生でも楽しめる部分があるので、それもおもしろいが、懲りすぎ。独特の音楽に惹かれているのに普通に感じる。
