金八先生の放映がスタートした時、私も中学3年だったんです。当時金八先生ってどんな番組なのか興味津々でしたね。金髪先生と勘違いしてたくらいですから。（笑）番組自体は、パート１よりパート２の方が好きです。とにかくこのシリーズからアイドルになった人は多いですね。パート１ではトシちゃん、マッチ、ヨッチャンのたのきんトリオや三原順子、あの杉田かおるなど。パート２では沖田浩之、ひかる一平、伊藤つかさ？など。このドラマは、アイドル全盛期をつくった立役者番組であると同時に、常に世代の問題をテーマとした、何か考えさせられるドラマです。だから、今もシリーズが続いてる証拠なんでしょうけど。金八世代で青春を送ってまいりました私にとっては、なつかしく、楽しめるアルバムとなるでしょう。

このＣＤの発売を知ったとき、漸く出たか、そう思いました。永年待っていたんです。買って何度も何度も聴き返しました。「スタートライン」の歌詞は、ＮＨＫブックスの「孤独であるためのレッスン」を読むとその意味が更に深く理解できます。

第7シリーズが終わり、長年金八ファンが多い視聴者にとっては、待望のベストアルバムである。こう歴史を辿っていくと、メロディーも親しみやすく心にぐっとくるが、何と言っても感銘を受けるのはその曲ごとの歌詞である。教師金八が人生とは何か?、生きることは?など全曲振り返ると、彼の信念が掴み取れるような素晴らしいと思える内容が充実している。そして声も歌うというよりは、大切な人達に語りかけるという感じである。涙も溢れて来ます。好きになります。よし!俺はこれからも負けずに生きよう!という勇気が沸いてきます。是非、感動をあなたの耳で心で聴いてみて下さい。
