舞台でなく、映画の楽曲の廉価版です(珍しい？)。MASK plays music from the motion picture（MASKは映画からの音楽を演奏します。byｴｷｻｲﾄ翻訳）の記載有り。
割と(良い意味で)おもしろいＣＤです。
「映画公開前に曲、チョット出ししちゃいます！」というコンセプトで発売されたＣＤでは？と推測すると、かなり合点がいく内容となってます(真相はわからず)。
　楽曲は映画版とほぼ同じ編曲なのにワザとショボく作ってる感じ。こじんまりと纏まっており、なかなか良いです。特に9.Masquerade のインパクトは強烈(笑)。そして11.と12.は映画版と同じもの(本物)が入っおり、(ショボイ曲を聴き続けた後なので)、音の迫力にハッとさせられます。曲目1.~10.までが壮大なオマケで、メインは11.~12.という事なんでしょう。歌は映画版俳優でない、無記名の歌手達。クリスの歌唱が今ひとつ(でも声は可憐)、怪人はまぁまぁ。ラウルが歌える人で、All I Ask Of You は甘い雰囲気で秀逸。実際の舞台等のキャスト配役にも劣らない位良いです。
