前作では少し飾りすぎというか「何かやらなきゃ」という入れ込みを感じたのだけれど、この「h.o.p.s.」では凄く素直な音と声で、すっと耳に入ってくる。
シングルだけでなく、味わいのある曲ばかり。
最近のファンにも、昔からのファンにも安心して聞ける1枚じゃないだろうか。現時点での代表作、といってもいい素晴らしいできです。

1-4曲目までの起承転結な感じが好き。

今までの楽曲が「熱情」から生まれていたとするならば、このアルバムは「手腕」で書かれたような、そんな作家性の成長著しいアルバム。四枚目（インディーも含めれば五枚目）にして、全く枯れる気配なく、それどころかライティングが向上しているのには正直驚く。年相応にいい具合に変化している様に思う。息の長いバンドになりそうだ。名盤。

『青春』って、青臭かったり、背伸びしてみたり、甘酸っぱかったり……。
GOING UNDER GROUNDは、そのまま素直にそう云った誰もが持っている『思春期の淡い想い出』を抱えて大人になっていくと云う事を飾らないでそのままの言葉で唄ってくれる。
そんな素直な歌詞に共感して、涙ぐんでしまいそうになった。

個人的に『サンキュー』と『東京』はお勧め。
