これぞまさに浩子ワールド炸裂といったアルバムです。この自由さ楽しさはいったい何なんでしょう。デビュー３０年を越えてこの新鮮さは何なんでしょう。浩子さんは日本音楽界の奇跡です。いつまでもそして永遠に頑張ってほしいものです。

非常に小規模な形で行われた「空間読書の会・第七官界彷徨」・「幻想図書館シリーズ・不思議の国のアリス」の２作品からの楽曲と、それをつなぐため新曲が収められています。
演劇や朗読の部分と有機的に結びついて機能する楽曲が大半であるため、単独での鑑賞をする際、実のところ結構苦しいものもあります。
浩子ファンでオールＯＫの者にとっては、まあいいのですが、このアルバムを最初に聞いて浩子さんのファンになる人がどの程度いるのかは疑問です。
「幻想図書館」シリーズの初回作「雪の女王」は、映像メディアでも供給されたので、それに付随する楽曲が収められたアルバム「カイの迷宮」は大変楽しめました。
しかし、その後の同シリーズや、今回の「空間読書の会」の楽曲だけを切り売りで提供されても、今ひとつ楽しみの深化が起こらずちょっと残念です。
たぶん元の作品を鑑賞できた人にとっては良いアルバムなのでしょうね。
せめてもの救いは、両作品とも原作の入手が容易でそちらと併せて楽しめばよいと言うことでしょうか。

こんな論評で何で５つ星かというと、そりゃまぁ長年のファンですから当然です。

ファンにはアルバムとしての質の問題は起こらない。どの曲が好きか、こりゃ傑作と思う曲はどれかというはなし。数回聴いただけだが、聴き進むうちにいい曲が増えてくると思う。それにしても、あのお年で（失礼）ちっとも創作力に衰えがないなんて、ファンにとってこれほど幸せなことがあろうか？　谷山浩子70歳記念・アルバム53作コンプリートボックスを是非手にしたい。
