秋山 瑞人原作の大人気ライトノベル、『イリヤの空、UFOの夏』のアニメ版主題歌｢Forever Blue｣と、EDテーマ｢ひまわり｣を収録したシングルCD。
『イリヤの空、UFOの夏』は主人公､浅羽 直之と、不思議な転校生 伊里野 加奈の交流を描いたちょっと切ないSFラブストーリーで、メディアワークス発行の小説誌｢電撃hp｣誌面で連載され、この度見事に映像化されたというわけです。

『イリヤの空、UFOの夏』本編の魅力についてはさて置き、本作に収録されている曲について感想を…。
先ずは主題歌｢Forever Blue｣。今井ちひろさんが歌うこの曲は涼しげな夏を連想させるメロディに、透き通る様な歌声が甘く切ないラブストーリーを予感させてくれ、『イリヤの空、UFOの夏』のイメージにピッタリな素晴らしい出来になっています。
EDテーマの｢ひまわり｣もキレのいいリズムと、可愛らしい曲調が魅力的な曲に仕上がっていて、私としては大満足!!これ以上何を求める!?って感じです。

部長の暴走に笑い、クラスメイト達とバカな話しを繰り広げ、秘められた想いに泣く…。
そんな『イリヤの空、UFOの夏』の雰囲気を存分に感じる事ができるこのＣＤ。
『イリヤの空、UFOの夏』を視てみたい、読んでみたいと思った人は、一度この曲を聞いて｢人生で一番大切な季節｣を感じてみてはいかが？

主題歌/エンディング共にひと夏の出来事をイメージさせる曲想が、原作をより輝かせていると思います。誰にでも夏の想い出はあると思いますが、そんな忘れかけていた気持ちが甦ってきました。この曲を聴いているとイリヤの気持ちが沁みてきます。切ないけれど、前向きになれる！そんなメロディーを共感できたらイ~ですね。是非是非！お薦めしたいです。

Forever Blueもひまわりもなんだか聞いていると気持ち良くなる曲かも。晴れた空の下で聞くといいと思う。アニメと良く合っていると思う。買ったほうがいい思うよ。
