この曲は、作詞（YUKIと共作）・作曲者の蔦谷好位置さんが前にやっていたバンド「カナビス」の未発表の曲。この曲がCDとして出る前にバンドは解散。
蔦谷さんの曲が好きだったので、カナビスが解散して残念でしたが、この曲をYUKIさんが歌ってくれて、感動しました！カナビスの「JOY」とは少し違うけど、好き。

YUKIさんはこの曲の経緯を知っているかどうかはわかりませんが、カナビスの「JOY」の良さを消さずに歌っていてくれたので、うれしかった。
それと、蔦谷さんがバンドを解散しても音楽を続けていたことが本当にうれしくて、ラジオでYUKIさんの「JOY」を初めて聴いたとき、涙が止まりませんでした。この曲を世に出してくれたYUKIさんに感謝します。これからも蔦谷さんにはがんばってほしいです。本当に名曲なので、おすすめしたいです。

　私はジュディアンドマリーもYUKIの曲もあまり聞いたことがありませんでした。
音楽番組で、PVをちらっと目にした時、「この曲、そしてこの踊り…一体何？？」という久しぶりに感電したような衝撃を覚えました。

　私は、この曲を聞くと不思議と泣きそうになります。タイトルは、JOYなのに、切なくて、今は会えなくなってしまった友達と遊んでいた光景を思い出します。
　joyに続く衝撃的な作品これからも期待しています。

”私はもう、楽しいことしかしたくないぞ”
この曲は、そんなYUKIちゃんのパワー溢れる曲です。

「誰かを愛すことなんて　本当はとても簡単だ」
「誰かを愛すことなんて　時々とても困難だ」
1番と2番で全く逆の歌詞。この部分が一番好きです。

聞いてるだけで楽しい、ポップなダンスミュージック調。
元気になれますよ！！
