今回のアルバムは正直である。
曲構成も飾らないし、特有の癖のある曲もない。
そんな曲を求めている人には不満もあるかもしれない。
ここで表現されているのは温かい音色とつつみこむように優しく歌う
ボーカル。決して熱を帯びたような強い歌い方ではない。
けれどその声からは人が日常で感じる哀しみ、苦しみ、失意から
乗り越えようとする凛とした強い意志を感じることができる。
このアルバムを聴いていたら日々生きている中で苦しいこともあるけど
生きているからこそそれさえも楽しもうよと言われているような気がする。
そんな生きる事に正直なメッセージが溢れているアルバムだ。

のっけの「明かりの灯るところへ」だけで充分アルバム1枚分の価値があると思います。
ここ最近自分の身の回りでおきた、悲しい出来事に起因しているとは思うんですが、初めて聞いたときとにかく涙が止まらずに後から後からあふれてきました。
玉置さんも松井さんも私も似たような年齢です。それぞれにたくさんのものを得、たくさんのものを失って至った今の歌って気がします。
年代によって、歌の対象が恋人だったり家族だったり子供だったりするでしょうがほんとの意味の愛が歌われてるような気がします。
とりあえず一聴して、今日はあなたの明かりの灯るところへ帰られてはいかがですか？
ちなみに｢蕗の傘」って曲も可愛くて素敵です。
是非ご賞味あれ

ソロアルバムとしては、２００１年３月にリリースされた「スペード」以来、約４年振りとなるアルバムです。先行リリースシングル「愛されたいだけさ」を始めとして、シングル「しあわせのランプ」のカップリング曲「７：３０ａｍ」、「北海道盲導犬ユーザーの会」の為に創られた「ひかり」等、全１２曲を収録しています。
