まさに衝撃の１作です。まさにメタル界の王者にふさわしいロブの復活第一弾作です。これを聞き逃すは人生に悔いを残すと言っていいと思います。前半はハイチューンな展開ですが、素晴らしいバラード、エンジェルからは重々しいダークな世界が始まります。音作りは現代風に低音を強調したつくりになっていますが、本質的にはジューダス節です。リフとメロディー重視し、バラエティに富んだメタル・ワールドを大満喫できます。リアル・タイムにロブ在籍時のジューダス・プリーストを体験していた中高年の方から若者まで納得できる珠玉の名作です。

発売されてから２ヶ月ちょいたちますね。僕は今だに毎日きいていますけど、飽きないですねー。正直、最初は微妙かなとか思いましたが、やっぱり今までの経験上ほんとのいいものとは時がたってから評価されるみたいですね。その辺もやっぱりプリーストらしいのかも。ほんとにペインキラー好きの人には評価されないのかもしれないですけど、70,80年代のプリーストらしさが出てて、昔からのプリーストファンにはたまらないアルバムだと思います。特に最近１番すきなのが、6から7にかけての流れ、９辺りが最近は特に気に入っています。

ペインキラー時のラインナップでの新作。往年のファンの中には、｢ペインキラー｣のイギリス独特の雰囲気の無さ、前半のロブの飛ばしすぎヴォーカルの色気の無さなどに幻滅した人たちも大勢いました。しかし、今回は、｢ペインキラー｣でジューダスを離れた人達にもぜひ聞いてほしい作品。往年のファンも納得のジューダスが復活してます。ロブも高音を抑えいい感じです。
