よく出来たキットだと思います。値段を考えれば及第点なのですが、それでも不満点や気になる点があるのであえて挙げていきますと・・・

１・外れやすい部分に、ＭＡ時の主兵装のビーム砲の蓋や機動兵装ポッドの蓋があります。兵装ポッドの蓋にいたってはハマってすらくれません。これは少々問題かと。

２・通常のプラモデルシリーズでは装備品や被り物＆背負い物が設定より一回り小さいです。そのせいでＭＡ時にガンダムの頭がしまえません。説明書では外すように指示されていますが、自分は逆に向けるだけで付けたままにしてあります。はみ出たアンテナが虫の触覚みたいで面白いので気に入っていますが（笑）

３・盾や兵装ポッドに可動の邪魔になる部分がある。盾はまだいいですが、兵装ポッドの羽が角度のせいで腕に当たります。これに関してはポーズ付けに関わるので困った所です。

４・他の方も指摘している通り、インパルスもザクも胴体側に肩を可動させるギミックがあったのにカオスにはありません。演技に関わる部分ですから何とかして欲しかった所。

この1/144ＨＧシリーズは、価格に見合った良心的な商品だと思います。ですが、若干価格を上昇させてでも装備品の小ささを改善した方がさまざまな問題点も同時に解決してくれるので１７００円くらいにしてしまった方がいいんじゃないでしょうか？ＭＳインアクション版の装備が非常に迫力あるので、どうしても比較されてしまうかと・・・。改造スキルを誰もが持っている訳ではありませんしね。

前作SEEDで登場したモビルスーツ(MS)の様々なギミックをコンパクトに集約した贅沢なMSのはずなのに、劇中ではどうも前シリーズのメンバーの実力に押され、その強さや本来の実力がイマイチ伝わりにくい多少不運なモビルスーツ。
このキットは設定に忠実なプロポーションで可動範囲も申し分なく仕上がっているので、設定として与えられた本来の機能や性能を想像し、再確認するにはもってこいの媒体になりうるモデルだ。
モビルアーマーに変形が可能。まあ変形といっても、機体を前傾させて背中のカウルを前方に引き出しスネの爪を展開するという至ってシンプルな変形。頭部を取り外さないとカウルを完全には引き出せないので完全変形と呼ぶまでには今一歩といったところ。
ただ、このシリーズで後に続くMSを揃えるつもりなら、そのコレクションからは絶対外せない大切な役割を担うモビルスーツではある。

種デスHG第三弾、カオスの登場です。今回は色分けがインパルスよりよく出来ているので、素で組んでもかなり良い感じになります。背面の兵装ポッドは砲身が飛び出すように作ってあり、ギミックも良く出来ています。しかしながら、ビームサーベルの刃部分がついてこないのと、シールドが動かす際に邪魔になる接続方法はいただけないので、楽しさ４です。好きな人なら買い。
