７０年代以降のメロディック・ロックの名作を陰で支え続けてきた無冠の帝王的存在のトミー。その爽快感溢れるハイトーン、存在感抜群のソウルフルさ、それらがデイヴィッド・フォスター、ジェイ・グレイドン、トム・ショルツ（ボストン）、カヴァーテイル・ペイジといった巨匠達の音楽を実現するに欠くことの出来ない存在となってきた。

しかし、彼自身が個人名義で世に問うた作品はそれほど多くない。特に、彼の真骨頂ともいえる爽快なメロディック・ロック全開のソロの代表作は、まだ無いといって良いと思う。

そこに、これまでも、ミッキー・トーマス（ジェファーソン・スターシップ）やジョセフ・ウィリアムズ（ＴＯＴＯ）といったメロディック・ロック名ボーカリストに再び脚光をあてる充実した仕事をしてきたイタリアのフロンティア・レーベルが動き出し、ファンが望む最高のメロディック・ロック満載のアルバムをこうして生み出したわけだ。

とにかく、ファンの思いを汲んだ抜けの良いサウンドとフック抜群のメロディに乗って、トミーのヴォーカルが大活躍する。特にアルバム前半部分の飛ばし方は尋常ではない。虚心に耳を傾ければ、これほど良質な作品には、なかなかで会えない事を実感すると思う。

なかば伝説の化して来たトミーの魅力が遂に満開となった素晴らしい作品だ。メロディック・ロック・ファンは是非押さえて欲しい。
