本当に衝撃的！かつて聞いてきた洋楽バンドでは１番好きかも！？
ロックだと思えばバラード系のサウンドが繰り出され、ゆっくりしたら
と思いきやロック。予測不能のジャンルにびっくりさせられる。
４人組というのもちょうどいい感じで。早く日本でライブやってほしい！
タフイナフ！ほかにも文句なしの曲がたくさんある！おすすめ！

CDの帯の文句「超キャッチーなメロディと完璧なハーモニーでノック・アウト」を見て思わず購入した1枚。
北欧の国「エストニア」からデビューした可愛い娘ちゃん4人組のガールズ・グループ VANILLA NINJAのファースト・アルバムです。
ガールズ・グループとして思い出すのは、VIXENやTHE TUESDAYS,古くは、GO-GOSやBANGLES, BANANALAMAなんかですが、このVANILLA NINJAのサウンドスタイルは、ポップにしてはかなりハードで、どちらかと言えば、VIXENのようなメロハー・タイプですが、ヴォーカルがTeenage Popで、ちょっとバックの演奏から浮いた感じがします。ただし、帯に書いているように、キャッチーなメロディの曲が多く、私は好きです。
最初、CDだけを聴いた時、バックに流れる楽器の各パートの演奏力も高く、もし彼女らが演奏しているとすれば、これはスゴイなと思いましたが、ボーナスのDVDを見た時は、やっぱりね、でした。
バックは、ちゃんとしたミュージシャンを従えていました。DVDのライヴ・パフォーマンスを見ると、彼女らの楽器は飾りという感じですね。
収められている曲は、本当にキャッチーでメロディアス、その上、かなりハードです。
どの曲もバックの演奏はメロハーっぽくて、かなりいかしてますね。

ホント、こういうのって好きです。

曲はいいけれど、ライブ映像等を見てがっかりしました。
確かに、まったく弾いていないで歌っているだけですね。
【演奏をしながら完璧には歌えないんだからそれでいい】
という人もいるみたいですが、それはどうかなーって感じ。

【やることをやろうと努力しない彼女達はプロとはいえない。
プロは仕事をこなすからこそ、尊敬に値するからだ】
と、海外の雑誌でも叩かれているらしいですね。
ＣＤを聞く分にはお勧めですが、ビジュアル的に期待すると
がっかりするかもしれません。
純粋に歌を聞きたい人向きのバンドですね。
