1話から4話とシリアスな構成の話が続いたところに
DVD3巻に収録されている5話目では一転してコミカルな話になっています。
今までの話がシリアスな展開が多かったために、
5話目のような展開の話は際だって面白く見ることができます。
ずる賢い翠星石、子供っぽい雛苺…etc
挙げたらきりがないのですが、一番の見どころは「真紅」です。
5話目の真紅の意外な行動、言動には思わず笑いが込み上げてきます。

第5話「階段」
ローゼンメイデンの魅力のひとつに「シリアスな中にあるコミカルな描写」があります
が、今回はその魅力がぎっしりと詰め込まれています。
どこぞのギャグ漫画よりも断然面白いです。保証します。
肩の力を抜いて、単純に人形たちの熱いバトル(?)を鑑賞しましょう。
翠星石が強烈過ぎて目立ちませんが、明るく振舞うジュンと、のりの日常にも注目。
元気にサッカーをする小学生を見てのりの表情が曇ります。
いつもジュンのことを考えているのですね。

第6話「涙」
前話から一転、シリアスな展開です。真紅vs水銀燈の第1ラウンドとも言えます。
水銀燈を追って、彼女のnのフィールドに侵入する真紅たち。
壊れた家に、ジャンクになった人形。
なぜ彼女は「ジャンク」に拘泥するのか？は、後々明かされることになります。
水銀燈とのやり取りで「私は負けるわけにはいかない、この戦いは、私が終わらせる」
と真紅は言っていますが、真紅のアリスゲームに対する考えが、良く表われている言葉
と思います。
これは第2期シリーズへの伏線でもあるので、要チェックです。

5.0 out of 5 stars RozenMaidenお笑い編＋シリアス編の2本立て, 2005/2/4
第5話は原作コミック３巻にあるエピソードそのままをベースに
第6話は原作コミック１巻にあるエピソードを用いて話が進みます。
ここまでしっかり描き込まれていたドールズが第5話では
コミックに現れるギャグ調で表現されてます。
これが話を知ってても知らずとも楽しい話です。
相変わらず翠星石は性悪。でも憎めない。
特に今回は「何故、其処にこだわるのか」なシーンを必見。
逆に第6話はシリアスに。ここからシリーズ後半ですから。
怖がりなのに強がる翠星石と
真紅の意外なところがちょっとカワイイ。
涙を流しながらの真紅の台詞、必見です。
断言する事がただ1つ。これを見ると次のリリースが待ってられない。
