私は、このcharacterが、DT初です。
本当に素晴らしいバンドです。なぜ今までDTに興味を持たなかったのか…私は本当にバカでした。
聴き手を圧倒する、Vo.の迫力のデスヴォイス。本当にカッコ良すぎ! ソイルワークやインフレイムスなどの声も好きだけど、『感情』が伝わると言うより、『ノリノリ♪』な感じ(これも好きなんだけど)
ミカエルのデスヴォイスは、本当に聴き手の『心』に響く…。そして、楽器隊の放つ、悲しく、激しく、美しいメロにミカエルのデスヴォイスに圧倒される…と同時に、感動…。
本当のメロデスを聴いた…。そんな感じです。
そして…これが私の本当のヒーリングミュージックです。

スウェーデンの重鎮メロデスバンド、ダークトランキュリティの7th。ブラストビート入りの猛烈なアグレッションの「The New Build」(このアルバムの中では1番いい曲だし、ダークトランキュリティ史上でも五本の指に入る名作)から始まりほとんどの曲がアップテンポで進んでいく。かといってメロディ無いかというとそうではなく、メロディもしっかりあり、初期の「Punish My Heaven」を彷彿させるアルバムである。どこのメロデスバンドにもない強烈でありながら悲哀に満ちたデスボイスに激烈リフ、メランコリックな空間を演出するキーボード、強烈なドラム、どこから切っても生粋のメロデスである。俺はアークエネミーやチルボド、ノーサーあたりも聞くが、ダークトランキュリティに比べれば何の存在感もない「ただのメロデス」になってしまう。なぜ日本でダークトランキュリティがいまいち伸び悩んでいるかが不思議なところだ。逆に言えばソイルワークの前座に成り下がるぐらい何でソイルワーク受けが日本ではいいのかよくわからない。ただ一つ確実なのはこのアルバムが起死回生の一発になることである。俺は待っている。ダークトランキュリティが再びソイルワークを前座に来日することを…

　北欧メロディック・デス・メタル界の重鎮、DARK TRANQUILLITYの7thアルバム。メロディへの拘りを見せつつ、あくまでギター・リフを中心とした攻撃的で暴虐的なサウンドを聴かせる。また、それと同時に、耽美的なキーボードを配したメランコリックな作風は、一部のコアなマニア受けに留まらない、SOILWORKにも通じる普遍的魅力を放っている。

　ファスト且つアグレッシヴな1を筆頭に、シングル曲5や、陰鬱なメロディがドラマティックに展開する11（悲しみを湛えたラストのピアノが美しい…）等、矢継ぎ早に強力な楽曲が繰り出され、特に前半の爆発的パワーは圧巻だ。ミカエル・スタンネのイーヴルなディストーションVoも実に素晴らしい。
