オーディオテクニカのヘッドホンはまず装着感がいい。
頭に妙な圧迫感が無く、耳にも余計な負担を与えない付け心地で、装着したときの心地よさは群を抜いている。

そのなかでオープンエアのヘッドホン。オープンエアだけあって抜けるような軽い音が特長で非常に疲れない音を出してくる。
少々大きいのが難点でとてもつけたまま外に出るという代物ではないが、腰を据えてじっくりと聴くにはとてもいい。

オープンイヤー・開放型ヘッドフォンの入門機といえばゼンハイザーのHD650挙げる方が多いかと思います。しかしヘッドフォンに6万円からつぎ込める庶民はそうはおりません。本国ドイツの倍の値段で売られているものを無理して求めるならば本機種で十分かと思います。
付け心地に定評のあるメーカーですので長時間使用という開放型最大の目的を快適に実現させてくれます。
肝心の音はテクニカらしくわりとフラットめで特徴はないのですが、低・高音どちらかにシフトするでもなくその音域を丁寧に再現しようとする造りで2万円クラスにしては好感が持てます（好き好きですが）。
開放型に興味や疑問をお持ちの方は試してみてはいかがでしょうか。
個人的にはもう密閉型なんか使ってられません。

しかし聞き比べるとやっぱりゼンハイザーっていいよなあ・・・・

音の傾向としては中音域重視で少し柔らかめの自然な感じです。
バランスがいいですね。オーディオメーカーなだけあります。
また、楽器の音を逃がさず正確に伝えてくれている気がします。
欲を言うならもう少し高音域に強さがあってもいいかも。
好みによるでしょうけど。

他のオーディオメーカーで例えるとＯＮＫＹＯの音の線を細くした感じかな。

自分は線の細い音や中音域重視の音は好きなので
他のメーカーの同価格帯と聞き比べてこのヘッドホンにしました。

ポップスよりクラシックに向いていそうです。多分ロックには向いてません。

欠点は
・室内でも気になる密閉性の低さ。（オープンエアーだし仕方無いけど）
・夏場はイヤパッドが暑い。
・ＡＤ１０００との差が意外と大きい。

良い点は
・音質が良い。（まあ、値段が値段だし･･･）
・コードが長い！（6畳の部屋なら気にせず動き回れます。）
・付け心地いいです。(軽いし違和感もありません。）

ただ･･･あと少し足したらＡＤ１０００なので、
余裕があるならそっちのほうが良いかも･･･
