イエモンの時よりも　YOSHII LOVINSONとして
活動を始めた時から好きになりました。
この曲も　彼の詩の世界・どこか哀しげなMELODDY・
パワフルなVOCALがマッチして素敵な作品です。
この曲でより“YOSHII LOVINSON”としての世界感が
確立されたような気がして　次回作がとても楽しみ!

最初、サビの部分だけ聞いたときは、
「俺でよけりゃ必要としてくれ」を、「今から一緒にこれから一緒に殴りに行こうか」みたいな、あなたの力になるよ、的なメッセージなのかと思っていた。

しかし、インタビューに答えているのを見たら、なんと「神様にCALL MEされたらどうだろう」という考えから生まれた曲だとか。
なるほど、神様から、いつ「電話一本」で呼ばれても後悔の無い様にしとくぜ、ということでしたか。

ただ生きていくだけでも大変なこの世、でも、後悔のないようにしておかないと。

それにしても、神様からCALLMEされたら、なんて、思いつくものなのか。
ソロになって、より一層、「売れる歌を作る」のから「生まれてくる歌を歌う」っていう感じになってきているように思えます。
それゆえに、心に残る歌になってます。

命を削って歌を歌って早死にしないで欲しいとか思っちゃいました。
早死にした作家の作品なんかとおなじ香りがするように思えるので…

僕が中学生だったとき、イエモンは「JAM」を唄っていた。
「乗客に日本人はいませんでした　いませんでした　いませんでした」
教室でＣＤを貸し借りしているのを何度も見かけた。

僕はその頃、フリッパーズ→コーネリアス→ＹＭＯの流れで、
テクノに異常なまでにハマっていて、なんとなくその空気には馴染めなかった。
上記のフレーズを聴いた時は衝撃的だったけど、
ＣＤを買って聴きたいほど、自分の中で湧いてくるものは無かった。

いつのまにか、そのイエモンも解散し、
YOSHII LOVINSONとして活動し始めたボーカルの吉井。
スペースシャワーで流れてくる情報ぐらいしか知らなかったのだが、
この曲を初めて聴いた時、完全にやられてしまった。

いつ以来だろう？ヒットチャートを賑わす曲をわざわざＣＤ屋まで買いに行ったのは。

不思議な力を持つ楽曲と言えば、それまでだが、
やはり、なにか取り憑かれたものを感じるのは、
吉井が真のロックスターだという証なのだろうか？
