ＯＶＡ「とらいあんぐるハート」で脇役だった少女・高町なのはを主役として、新たに魔法少女アニメとして制作された「魔法少女リリカルなのは」。異世界から来た少年・ユーノと共に、魔法を使って「ジュエルシード」を回収するのだが、その内容は今まで見た魔法アニメと違って、シリアスなストーリー展開が印象的である。
それだけではなく、家族愛や友情についても描かれていて、見る価値のあるアニメといえるだろう。

先入観として魔法モノといえば萌えな少女が魔法を使って悪い奴らをやっつける~みたいなものを想像して見ていたのですが、違っていました。
確かにいきなり露出シーンがあったりしてそっち系のファンの人へのサービスも怠っていません(笑)が、物語は結構シリアスな展開になっていったりします。とまあいっても１巻はまだジュエルシードを集めるという目的のために魔法を使って封印しているだけなのですが、作品の出来は画のクオリティ、内容ともなかなか良い出来だと思いました。

これまで魔法少女モノといえば異世界から修行のため？やって来たり、不思議な力を授けられたりしていましたが、本作品もご多分に漏れず不思議な力を授けられたクチです。サリーやCCさくらのように当初から魔法少女モノとして作られた作品より、サミーやぽえみぃ、小麦、かなんのようにどちらかというと｢大きなお友達｣向けの外伝、或いは、パロディ的な魔法少女モノが氾濫しつつある今日、とらはの世界観を引き継ぎつつも独自の展開を続ける本作品は、正統派の系譜を受け継ぐ作品に仕上りつつあるのではないでしょうか？それにしても表紙のオコジョ君のポジションちょっと邪魔ですな。
