宇宙戦艦ヤマトのファンとしてこのゲームの設定に理解できない点が多々ある。
もっとも気にくわないのは古代守の生存とトチローの登場である。
古代守が生存しているのはif（もしも）の世界の話として許すことができる。
しかし、トチローの存在は我慢が出来ない。
（トチローとはキャプテンはーロックやエメラルダスに登場するキャラクター）
どうも松本は古代守＝キャプテンハーロックという設定を作りたいようだ。
そのためにあえてトチローを出し、古代守の顔に傷を負わせた。
だが宇宙戦艦ヤマトと松本ワールドはまったく別の話だと多くのヤマトファンは知っている。
西崎プロデューサーのいないところで勝手にヤマトを作ること自体がおかしい。
松本零士は宇宙戦艦ヤマトを自分の作品と勘違いしているがそれは決して違う。
ヤマトは西崎氏を含めた多くの著名人の手によって作られた傑作だ。
松本零士の身勝手な妄想を加えた作品を作り出すことは、ヤマトの開発に携わった多くの人を愚弄することである。
最後にヤマトの制作に携わった作詞家、阿久悠さんの言葉をを紹介したい。
「松本がヤマトの著作権者を名乗れるのなら、他のスタッフ達や私（阿久悠）だって著作権者を名乗れる」
「西崎さんの熱意と情熱無しに『宇宙戦艦ヤマト』は存在しなかった」
