全体としては、和製RPGに無いやや暗めの世界観で冒険を楽しむという感じ。本場のファンタジーとはこういうものか。。
仲間になるメンバーも非常に個性的でアクが強く、冒険中の会話も良くできており、良い方向に進むか対立するかの駆け引きが楽しめます。
シナリオは壮大でサブクエストも非常に良くできており、ありがちな、おまけ程度の作りにはなってません。
日本では馴染みの薄いAD&D系なので戦闘や謎解きには戸惑う感はあるものの、非常に緻密で戦略性が高く、局面によりますが
プレイヤーの行動次第で戦闘になったり、それを避けたりと自由度があり飽きさせません。
単純に当って砕けろ的な突っ込み戦闘が通用しないモンスター達も魅力の一つです。
膨大なクエスト、スペル群、キャラクタメイキング、NPC達、とにかく丁寧に作られた作品です。
グラフィックやGUIに若干古さを感じさせますが、それを補うだけの作品。タイトルにも書いた通り、まさに大人が楽しめるRPGだと思います。
ほのぼのファンタジーRPGに飽きた方やD&D系に興味のある方は是非やってみて下さい。

素晴らしいゲームです。このゲームをすると、今までの和製ＲＰＧて何だったの？と思えてきます。緊張感あふれる戦闘、感情移入できるストーリ、自由度の高さ、膨大なクエストやイベント、キャラメイクの楽しさ・・。ＲＰＧの楽しい要素を全て備えているゲームです。
戦闘はリアルタイムシュミレーションです。ポーズ機能があるため、じっくりと戦略を練ることが出来ます。それがまた楽しい！
地下の玄室にこもるパーティにゴブリンの群れが襲い掛かる。入り口で戦士が敵を食い止め、後衛が魔法や弓矢で援護する。という感じです。
指輪物語のような戦いを再現できるわけです！
世界観は中世ヨーロッパの混沌と暴力に充ちた雰囲気が良く出てると思います。
クリアしても何度でもトライしたくなる非常にやり込み度が高いゲームです。

Ｄ＆Ｄの会話システムを使用したＲＰＧゲーム、バルダーズゲートとその拡張版スロウンオブバールの日本語版セットです。
このシリーズをはじめてやる人は最初は少し戸惑うかもしれません。
しかし、なれてくるとかなりハマります。オススメする理由はまずストーリーの深さと選ぶ会話によって新たなクエストが現れたり、シナリオが大幅に変わるということでしょう。その他、膨大な量のアイテムや本当に個性のあるキャラクターなど半永久的につきあえるソフトでしょう。マルチプレイは6人までＯＫです。しかし何といっても、このソフトはストーリーの長さがスゴイ。オススメです。
