どうせ「グリンチ」と「スクービー・ドゥー」を足して二で割ったみたいなもんだろうと、まったく期待しないで観たんですが…すいません、面白かったです。
決して子供向けではなく、原作をうまく膨らませてあって、大人も十分楽しめます。
猫が子供たちに契約書にサインさせるシーンなんて、どこが面白いのか子供にはわからないと思うし、
猫が股間をバットで殴られるなんていう、本来ならば大人は眉を顰めるようなシーンもなかなか凝っていて思わず吹き出しちゃいました。
「グリンチ」ではジム・キャリーの面白さがあまり生かされてないのに対して、本作ではマイク・マイヤーズならではの猫が笑いの壺を刺激してくれます。
原作の絵でも決してかわいいとはいえない猫や”THING”たちはちょっとブキミですが、それがパステル調の背景と、まるで生ハムとメロンのように妙にマッチ。
吹き替えと、それに邦題もグッドです。

この猫が部屋をスライムみたいなのでべとべとにしたり、おばさんをハンガーにつるしたりして、ダコタちゃんらはもうドキドキハラハラ。
お母さんが帰ってくるまでに片付けなきゃだめなのに・・・
いろんな意味で心臓に悪いです(笑)
でもユーモアたっぷしで見てて夢を持つ気持ちが持てそうです

子供がどの様に成長していったかを、コミカルにし　まるで現代版「不思議の国のアリス」と「ドラえもん」をミックスした様でした。アメリカに居る時に見たのですが子供でも英語のまま楽しめます。もう一度観たいので家では購入です
