   穴掘りアクションゲーム『ミスタードリラー』のDS版。主人公のホリ・ススムやおなじみのミッションモードやタイムアタックモードはそのままに、オリジナルモードを搭載して登場する。

   　DS版だけのオリジナルモードは、「プレッシャーモード」と呼ばれる。主人公はドリル魂を命中させ、マドリョリルにダメージを与えつつ、しばらく止めることでその距離を広げ、その間に再びパワーをためる。ドリル魂は下の画面から突き抜け、マドリョリルに届きます。このとき、距離が離れているほど、ドリル魂が到達するまでの時間が長くなる。この距離が0になり主人公がマドリョリルに触れるとゲームオーバーというモードだ。

   　操作方法も、従来型の十字ボタンとAボタンだけのカンタン操作は健在。十字ボタンで方向と移動を決めて、後はAボタンで掘っていく。DS版では、ホリ・ススムに隣接したブロックをタッチすると、壊すことができるます。また、プレイヤーキャラから離れた場所をペンタッチしつづけると、そこへ移動することもできるこの新感覚に慣れると、こっちの方が速く掘れることもあるので、習得は必須だ。（椎　武男）

シリーズのファンにはお馴染みの
「ミッション」「タイムアタック」などはもちろん、
ＤＳ特有のダブルスクリーンという縦にワイドな画面を活かした
「プレッシャーモード」が追加。
タッチペン操作はＤＳということで、とりあえず付けた感じが否めず
従来の方向キーでの操作のほうがしっくり来るとは思いますが、
「携帯機」であり、そして「縦の空間を表現するのが得意」なニンテンドーＤＳは
まさにミスタードリラーという作品にもピッタリのハードです。
そして、もちろんゲームとしても、ついつい何度も遊んでしまう
中毒性の高いデキ。
「ペンを使うわけでもないし、本体と同時発売したわりにはＤＳである必要性を感じない」
などと思われがちですが、やはり、面白いものは面白い。
ひとつの作品として、お勧めしたい傑作です。

他の方も書いておられますが、そんなに新しい要素はありません。
また、タッチペンでの操作も、私はほぼ使っていません。

が、新しいプレッシャーモードは結構白熱しますし、落ちてくるブロックが見られる上画面も、結構役立ちます。
モードの種類やステージ数も結構多いし、やりこむ要素もあります。
「一度やったら終わり」型のゲームではなく、飽きるタイプでもないので、特にやりたいゲームがない時のつなぎに重宝します。
そういうソフトって、案外ないんですよね。

DSを持ち歩く人で、ドリラーが嫌いじゃなければ、買って損はないと思います。

ＮＤＳの機能をあまり活用してませんが、これは面白いです。
気が付けば、バッテリーが切れかけています。
一応、タッチペンでの操作も可能ですが、普通に十字キーの方がプレイしやすいです。
別に、無理にタッチペンの機能を使わなくても、二画面がうまく生かされているし、面白ければ良いと思うので、
中にはこんなゲームがあってもいいと思います。
他のソフト会社も、あまりこだわらずに、ＲＰＧなどを出して欲しいものです。
