第２巻第８話から分岐するもう一つの終わりの形。この第４巻はおまけ的なものですがおまけの枠を大きく越えています。
ハッピーエンドには違いないんですけど、心に訴えるモノがないような感じです。どうも上手くまとまりすぎて興が醒めるというか、期待を裏切らない大団円は割合つまらないという好例。
物語そのものも、上手く展開しすぎて上手く事が運びすぎているんじゃないでしょうか。物語の内容を詳しく語る事は許されていませんのでぼかして言いますが、いろいろとむかついてきたような……。
この巻の評価としては、いまいちですね。原作ゲーム自体、御都合主義的なところはありましたが、この展開は調子に乗り過ぎて度を越しているんじゃないですか？　幸せと不幸せのバランスが取れてませんよ。というか、不幸せがないです。それがいけないとは言いませんがね。
ですが１話１５分という時間はちょうどよかったのでは。今までは１話あたりの時間が少し短いかなと感じて時もありましたが、この第４巻は不足感も不満感もなしでばっちりです。全巻に通じて言えますが、ペース配分はよくできていたと思えます。
とはいえ、不満点も多かったですね……。画がすっごく改変されてるとか、原作ゲームをちょっと曲解してないかとか、登場人物の出番の落差が大きいとか。
総合的評価としては、全巻とも、一般の人及びファンの人ともにお薦めできかねます。生半可な気持ちで購入すると火傷しますよ。
それでも、『月は東に日は西に』が好きだという人なら、もはや止めはしますまい。
購入するも、また一興でしょう。

この４巻は、ＤＶＤだけのストーリーになっており、『美琴編』となっています。アニメを見た人でも絶対に買いでしょう。
