７０年代の未発表曲の再構成などというと一般的にはあまり前向きではないイメージだが、ことMagmaに関してはそれは当てはまらない。いずれにせよ他の誰も模倣できない音楽なのだから、本家の新作が聴けることを素直に喜ぶべきだ。曲は正調70'sMagma（当然か）、演奏のキレも７０年代に全く引けをとらず、感涙。とりわけやはりクリスチャン・ヴァンデのドラム・プレイが素晴らしい。いわゆる「変拍子」に伴いがちな「カクさ」が全くない、文字通りスイングするような表現力豊かなプレイは、これだけでも聴く価値がある。デイヴ・ロンバードやフロ・モーニエを目指すメタル・ドラマー諸氏も、DCPRGのライヴで踊るのが至福の時という人も、ストラヴィンスキー・マニアも、とにかく全ての音楽ファンよ、聴いてくれ！損はさせないと思います。

やっと日の目を見たMAGMAの大作です。全3曲、48分50秒の中で何度ｷﾀ━━━━(ﾟ∀ﾟ)━━━━!!!!という瞬間があるのでしょうか？恐ろしいまでの演奏と歌のパワーで大興奮間違いなしですが、それだけにちょっと聴き疲れるかもしれません。でもやっぱり星5つ。

なんて能書きはともかく、百見は一聞に如かず？なので、とにかく聴いてみてくれればこのすごさがわかると思います。

『今』リアルタイムで当時に勝るとも劣らぬ演奏が聞けることに感謝。悪く言えば昔と同じ、と言えるが生ける伝説はリスペクトしましょう。
