　壮大なる世界観を打ち出しながら、高度なテクニックに裏付けられたバンドのポテンシャルにより、当初目標に掲げたあらゆるヘヴィ・メタルの要素を盛り込むサウンドを見事に実現しているように思われる。
　突進力、攻撃力、演奏能力、楽曲の完成度、どれをとっても一流のモノを持っていることを実感してしまう。

　２００４年も終わりに差し掛かったこの時期にまたとんでもないグループが現れた。
　SINS OF OMISSION等で知られるマルチプレイヤー、ヤニ・ステファノヴィックとNARNIAで活動しているクリスチャン・リベルが中心となったスウェーデンをベースとするグループだ。
　NARNIAと聞けばイングヴェイのフォロワーのような感じがするのだが、このグループもそうかと言えば、あきらかにそれとは違う。やはりそこはヤニの手腕によるものが大きいと思う。
　歌い手クリスチャンは非常にマイルドな声の持ち主であり、そこにヤニがデスメタルのアグレッションを持ち込み、他のメロディックパワーメタルバンドに無いパワーがこのグループの非常に有効な武器となっている。疾走曲は聴いていて非常に爽快でカッコイイ。またコーラスで時節顔を出すデスヴォイスもアクセントがついて◎。
　決してスラッシュにならないアグレッシブさを増したパワーメタル。まさに理想的だ。

ナーニアのヴォーカル、クリスチャン率いるスウェーデン産シンフォニックパワーメタルバンドのデヴューアルバム。だんだん映画のサントラに近くなってきたラプソディーにくらべて、こちらは幾分ブラックメタルにも通じるスリリングなインストパートも含みながらも、上手いヴォーカルがとてもいい感じのアルバムだ。多数のゲストミュージシャンも参加し、この手のアルバムとしても非常によく出来たメタルミュージックです。マンネリ化したラプソディー聴くなら、断然このバンドです。
