まだ大人になりきらない二十歳の女性と、恋人を失った悲しみをひきずっている、心優しい男性。
また過去にも二人は、あるつながりがあったことが分かります。
伝書鳩と子犬が二人を結びつける重要な役割をしています。
たくさんの小鳥に囲まれた空間がとても暖かく、時間の流れがゆっくりなのを感じました。

当時、高校生のチョン・ジヒョン。思春期の揺れる心を透明感たっぷりに演じ、パク・シニャンの動物への愛情あふれる演技。
派手な演出はなくても、胸がいっぱいになりました。
素敵な映画です。

チョン・ジヒョンのデビュー作となったこの作品は、それらしく、ごくごく淡くて、淡雪のようにすっと融けてしまうような、ずいぶんとソフトタッチなものです。
映画としての技術は、カメラアングル、光の使い方、ストーリーの深さやひねり、意図するコンテンツの作り込み、脚色の付け方等々に甘さが見られ、今ひとつもの足りなさを感じずには得ません。
以後の韓流映画が急上昇で好作品が出る前の姿とは、骨肉の関係や赤い血といった突然ショッキングな展開には至ってなかったのですね。
ロマンスと言えるほどのアツさもなく、うわべだけの関係が直接的に接することなく、距離感を持った関係でハートフルに結ばれていきます。
チョン・ジヒョンが世に大きく羽ばたく前の作品を観るのもよいと思います。
”絵描き＋おじいさん＋自転車”といえば、アプローチはまったく変わりますが、彼女主演の「デイジー」にもそのパターンがあります。

チョン・ジヒョンではなく、パク・シニャン目当てで見ました。純愛ものです。時間に追われた生活に疲れ、静かな生活を求め田舎に移り住み、鳩と戯れるパク・シニャン、素敵です。本当に単調な物語進行ですが、こんなにゆったりとした映画が作れる,韓国っていいな、と思いました。
