田口良。登場時の年齢、24歳。七曲署に志願する積極さの一方で、伯母付き添いの初出勤。大阪出身、７人の姉を持つ末っ子は愛されてきた分、頼りなさを感じさせる少年の面影のある青年だった。
今回収録分は、テキサスの影に隠れて、頼りなさばかりが全面に出てるようにも見えます。けれど、先輩達に揉まれ励まされながら、ボンは少しずつ、自らを解放させるかのように変貌していく。油断してると見落としそうな言動や仕草に。それを成長ととるか、元々備わっていたものを開花させていっただけなのか。
テキサス＆ボン期を本放送で見たことが殆どないのだけれど、私は後者のように感じています。

名作と銘打つのは簡単ですが、14年以上続いた『太陽』は、キャラの宝庫であり、それ故にファンの世代交代も繰り返してきました。好き嫌いばかりはどうにもならないけれど、興味があるなら、付き合ってみるのも悪くないと思いますよ。

４人目の新人刑事・田口良という人間を。その歩みを。

このボンの登場から殉職までの４年間が　太陽にほえろ！の本当の黄金期
繰り返し再放送されたマカロニジーパンの強烈さと　イケメンを揃えて女性向き番組と化した後期に挟まれ　今となっては印象の薄さは否めませんが
一話一話の完成度とバラエティー度の高さは　ＴＶドラマとして他の追従を許しません。
リアルタイムで一番観られていたボンのいた時期こそ　この番組の完成形です
ロッキーがいた時期にボンが言う「騙すより騙される人間の方が俺はいいよ」は自分の心に今も残ってます
懐の問題はあっても観てほしいですね

相変わらずタイトルの知名度に頼り切った商品構成には怒りすら覚えますが
