ネットショップとオークションの発送にすごく便利です。今まで手書きでした。これだけでもかなりの時間がかかります。1日あたり約10件以上あるので書くだけで一仕事。このラベルプリンターは、1枚出すのに約2秒連続だと約1.5秒めちゃめちゃ早く仕上がりもくっきり奇麗。インクを使わないのでカッターを換える以外メンテナンス不要。WEBにデーターベースの作ってブラウザーに表示させプリントしています。1枚から印刷できるので非常に便利さらにシールになっているのでそのまま貼るだけ！！1日5件以上あるネット販売の方におすすめです！！ブラザー製品は、不良時のサポートもいいから大好きです！！

感熱タイプなので、印字が高速です。
TEPRA SR930とカシオ EL-700 を持っていますが、結局 QL-550 を使うことが多いです。
ラベルライター（テプラなど）とラベルプリンタ（QL-550）では
想定している用途が違うと思いますが、印字の速さと使い勝手の良さから、
何でもかんでも QL-550 で済ませてしまうことが多いです。
主な用途は宛名と文書整理です。
ちなみに後継の QL-580N は更に印字が速くなる（110mm/秒）ようです。
