『張り込み』のクリス（リチャード・ドレイファス）とビル（エミリオ・エステベス）の凸凹コンビが、またもや“張り込み”するハメに。今回は組織犯罪の殺し屋を怖れて雲隠れした重要参考人を探し出すため、隠れ家になりそうな知人の別荘を見張ることになる。クリス、ビルのコンビにオールドミスの女性検事補ジーナ（ロージー・オドネル）が加わり、家族を装って豪華な別荘に住み込み、お隣さんを張りこむことに。が、今回もまたもや張りこむ相手と顔見知りになってしまい、さらなるドタバタが繰り広げられる。
