　ロヴェッショ・デッラ・メダーリャの「汚染された世界」などの、
　いわゆるプログレ的なシンフォニック・ロックものである。
　イタリアン・プログレッシヴロックの系譜に入るものではあるが、
　垂れ流しの叙情は抑えられているため、逆にその中でも少し特異である。
　特質すべきは、音に染み込んだ可憐な浮遊感である。
　どっしりとした暗鬱で重厚なプログレの土台と、
　彼らの現実離れしそうになる浮遊感とが合致して、
　独特の世界観を構築している。

　相対する相反する、矛盾する混沌加減がもたらした音世界が、
　曲中に何度も起こる、素晴らしく狂おしい展開の変移を呼び起こしているように感じる。
　その狂おしさに、是非とも翻弄され浸って欲しい。

　オススメは、1の『夢の国へ』と6の『子供達との出会い』、
　そしてなんと言っても7の『愛の調べ』~8『自己陶酔』の流れである。

　２５年くらい前のお話ですが、このアルバムのアナログ盤にプレミアが付いて１枚が数万円で取引されていたことがあるのですよ。

　日本ではその当時ヨーロッパのプログレッシブロックについてはまだ情報も少なくアナログ盤もほとんど輸入されていなかった中で、結構すごい演奏をしているバンドがある、と口コミで伝わっていた中の一つがこのアルバムでした。

　クラシック音楽をベースにしたシンフォニックな作品が多い中でこのアルバムも例外ではありませんが、主旋律が非常にキャッチーで全体的に激しさと静けさの対比が良くバランスしていて、トータルアルバムとして大変優れた作品だと思います。以前プレミアが付いたことも納得できる完成度です。

　イタリアンプログレッシヴロックといえば真っ先にＰＦＭやイル＝ヴォーロを思い出しますけれど、他にもこういう世界に誇れる作品があるということを知っておいて欲しいと思います。

　是非買って聴いてみて下さい。こういう音源はおそらく買って聴くしか無いですからね。きっと得した気分になれます！
