言わずと知れた、ダウンタウン&槇原敬之コラボレートによるクリスマス・ソング。Bメロまでの低いキーが少し気になるものの、槇原も涙する松本の詞と、せつなく温かなメロが見事にマッチしている。松本の語りによる(2)からは真剣なスタンスがうかがえる。

「チキンライス」タイトルを聞いただけではクリスマスソングだとは気付かない。しかし、聴いてみるとそれはチキンライス、見事にクリスマスの世界だった。そういう時代を過ごした事無いから良くわからないし、偉そうに語れないけど、昔の話を聞いたり語ったりと共感出来る歌詞である。
そして、「今ならなんだってできる」と現在を語っているところも見逃せない。
それでもケーキや七面鳥よりも、やっぱりチキンライス。サンタクロースもプレゼントもイブも語らないクリスマスソングを「チキンライス」で見事に歌った曲だと思う。

曲もいいし、歌もいいが、松ちゃんの歌詞がなんといっても素晴らしい！
ちょっと、ホロッときます。
松ちゃんのインタビューも入っていて、いい話です。
「愛」だの「恋」だの言ってるクリスマスソングより、グッと身にしみます。
レンタルせずに買いましょう。

曲、歌詞共に上手く融合し完成度が高い。
既存のクリスマスソングのような飾りっ気はなく
懐メロの様に懐かしく、子供の頃の情景が浮かんでくるようだ。
何故か涙が溢れてくる。

間違いなくこの歌はスタンダードソングになるだろう。

最後はしっかり笑いの要素もある。

天才と天才が組めば素晴らしい物が出来る見本である。
