　下の方の疑問の通り、このＣＤは1枚目がＳＡＣＤプレーヤーと普通のＣＤプレーヤーで再生できるハイブリッドＣＤになってますが、2枚目は普通のボーナスＣＤなだけで、別にデュアルディスクではありません。ＤＶＤオーディオの商品は別にあります。
　
　ＤＶＤオーディオのデュアルディスクの商品については、そちらは1枚組みで、片面がリマスターされた「ダウンワード~」のＣＤ、もう1面がＤＶＤでマーチオブザピッグス、ハート、クローサーのプロモと、ディスコグラフィーのイメージギャラリーが収録されているようです。ボーナスディスクは付きません。
　しかし、今度「Ｃｌｏｓｕｒｅ」がＤＶＤで発売されるらしいんで、このＤＶＤはあまり存在意義がないような・・？

　個人的にはこちらの2枚組のデラックスエディションはぜひ購入すべきだと思います。ボーナスディスクは大変豪華な内容で、
映画「ザ・ファン」「セブン」で使われた「Ｃｌｏｓｅｒ」のリミックスや、
映画「ナチュラルボーンキラーズ」の「Ｂｕｒｎ」、
映画「クロウ」の「Ｄｅａｄ　Ｓｏｕｌｓ」、
「Ｍａｒｃｈ　Ｏｆ　Ｔｈｅ　Ｐｉｇｓ」のリミックス等
ファンには欠かせないものばかりです。ＮＩＮのリミックスは聴きにくいものが多いですが、この収録曲は聴きやすいものばかり。「ダウンワード~」の時期のシングルやサントラを買う必要もなくなりますんで、「Ｓｔｉｌｌ」ばりにマストアイテムでしょう。

デラックスエディションはコレクターアイテムであるだけでなくファンじゃない人にもお勧め、入門に最適な素晴らしいアイテムだと思いますね

90年代ロックの最重要アルバム、「The Downward Spiral」がリマスターされて登場。
インダストリアルもメタルもハードロックもテクノもポップも全て飲み込んで
生み出された怪物のような作品です。聴いた事の無い人は絶対買いです。

ディスク２は過去に発表されたリミックスなどの集大成的なものになってます。
こちらも聴き逃せません。

私はこのアルバムをほぼリアルタイムできいていたが、ありとあらゆる意味で90年代の象徴のようなアルバムだと思う。デジタルリマスターとボーナスディスクつきである。ポストグランジに相応しいgenerationX剥き出しの無気力と耽美主義、美青年(当時)、尾崎豊のような思春期丸出しの青臭い詩、生楽器よりもテクノロジー主体の所謂インダストリアルの主催者、アンビエントやブレイクビーツの導入、90年代アメリカのプログレ、衝動的だとおもわれやすい激しいノイズ音列の裏に働くクラシックピアニストくずれらしい巧緻な計算、それに負けないキャッチーなメロディー、後によくもわるくも一世を風靡するラップメタル勢からの異様なリスペクト、ヒップホップの導入の早さ、プレレディオヘッド、確固たるnine inch nails soundの確立、トータルアルバム主義、無数のフォロワーからの屹立。紛れもなく90年代アメリカのロックを代表するアルバムだと思う。ただ個人的にはよりメロウで、キャッチーで抑揚のきいた黒人よりの次作the fragileのほうが色彩豊かで好きであるし、上だと思う。今作品はやや単調にきこえる。あと、暗すぎ(笑)。
