高田みち子さんは私がピアノの弾き語りライブを聴きに行って、世界観、歌声に惚れてしまったアーティストです。
そこに加えて本作品ではバックに力強いメンバーが揃い、深みが増している事でしょう。
NHK サマーソングバトルで視聴者を虜にした曲「僕らの樹」、
松たか子さんに提供した「夕暮れと嘘」の別歌詞セルフカバーバージョンも収録されています。

あたたかいのに切ないような、澄み切ったようにピュアでいながら、大人のセクシーさまでが漂う。心を震わす全てのテイストが凝縮した、珠玉のアルバムでした。よどみのないメロディアスな流れに、不快さ、軽薄さの一切ない言葉が丁寧に乗せられていて、私はとても好きです。高田さんのムリのない声や、心のナイーブさが、包容力のあるソウルフルな演奏によって、さらに深みを増して表現されているのではないでしょうか。時折残酷なほどの上品さがあって、安易に愛の歌をうたっていない、高田さんの洞察力の鋭さや、挑戦を感じました。ほんとうに、素晴らしい歌声、演奏です。

結論からいいます。
大傑作！☆☆☆☆☆

まず、この声がいいですね。
知性とセクシーさが微妙にミックスされたその声。
この声を待っていたんだ。
もう何年も。
求めれば必ず出逢うものなんですね。

その声に、
歌唱力がともなっているとして、
さらに、
メロディーを紡ぎだす才能も溢れているとしたら、
みなさん。
どうしますか。
とりあえず、聴いてみてくださいよ。

ジャジーなベースで始まる１．から彼女の世界に引き込まれてしまう。最初のピークは早くも２．「ｃｈｏｃｏｌａｔｅ」と３．「雨は優しく」で訪れる。

だれかを幸せにできるのは
自分を幸せにするひと粒
まるで　ｃｈｏｃｏｌａｔｅ
いつまでも切なく
愛しい味．．．．．．．．．「ｃｈｏｃｏｌａｔｅ」

このまま
誰にも気付かれることもなく
頬に落ちてきた
最初の一粒
ずっと閉じていた
僕の記憶に
今日は　染み込んで
痛いよ

雨、雨、雨のせいだね
いつまでもあなたが溢れている
雨、雨、雨が
手を伸ばした僕の中へ・・・・・・・・「雨は優しく」

雨、雨、雨というフレーズが頭から離れない。
メロディアスでどこか懐かしい匂いがする曲。
ジャズという感じではなくグッドミュージック。

しかし本当のハイライトは後半に訪れる。
７〜１１の怒涛の名曲５連発。
７．「春を待ってる」と１０「Ｔｈｅ　Ｔｒａｃｋｓ　Ｏｆ　Ｍｙ　Ｔｅａｒｓ」はダウン・トゥ・アースなアレンジ。
スタックスやマッスル・ショールズの香り。
これがまたいいんです。
特に１０はスモーキーロビンソン＆ザ・ミラクルズの代表曲ですが、数あるカバーの中でＮＯ．１でしょう。
８．「Ｙｏｕｒ　Ｇｏｄ」のような難しい曲を、軽々と歌いこなしてしまう彼女の実力。
目を瞠ります。
９．「夕暮れと嘘」みたいな曲が彼女のキャラですね。
可愛くて抱きしめてあげたいです。
１０．「僕らの樹」はピアノ伴奏のみで歌い上げる最後にふさわしい曲。

忘れてはいけないのが、バックミュージシャン達。
「Ｗｈａｔ　Ｉｓ　ＨＩＰ？」というグループ名。松木恒秀：ｇがリーダーの腕利きのベテラン達が素晴らしい演奏をしています。
特に松木のフレーズは、
時に敬愛するＤａｖｉｄ　Ｔを思わせる「歌っている」ギター。
コレがまたいいんですよ。
