デビュー２５周年記念のベスト盤ＤＶＤ、ここまで究極のベスト盤はお目にかかったことがありません。
良質の楽曲をシーンに提供しつづけること２５年、彼らの歴史、数々の悲劇を乗り越えてきた全てがこのＤＶＤに積めこまれているといっても過言ではありません。
ほぼ、シングルカット順に収録されているのですが、まず最初の悲劇、Dr.リックの交通事故による左腕切断。しかし、リックの片腕でもたたける特注ドラムセットを用いて製作された『Hysteria』（5~11）は世界的ギネス級大ヒットとなりました。私は当時8Armageddon ItをMTVで見ながら目頭を熱くしたのを覚えています。
しかし、この後更なる悲劇をバンドを襲いました。G.のスティーヴがアルコール過度摂取のため帰らぬ人となってしまったのです。しかし、彼らはそれを乗り越えて、この後も素晴らしいヒット・チューンを送りつづけたことは、このＤＶＤの12以降を聴けばわかるでしょう。
私個人的には一時のモダンロックかぶれのチューンを除けばどれも名曲なのですが、4th『Hysteria』からの7~Sugar On Me,8Armageddon It、後期（？）LEPSの名盤7th『EUPHORIA』からの26.Promises、変わったところではSWEETのカヴァー、21.Action、そしてやっぱり、Fovorite Tuneは1Photographかな。
こんどはいつニューアルバムを出してくれるのか楽しみであるとともに、原点回帰をしていてくれないかなぁ、と願っています。

Burrn!誌を立ち読みしていて、ベストCDとDVDの発売を知り、即効で注文して買ってしまいました。
私は20代前半なので、デフ・レパードファンの中では若い方ですが、私が生まれる前の作品から、
最近のアルバム収録曲まであますところなく楽しめました。スティーブ・クラークの演奏や、
リック・アレンが両手を振り回すのをみると、つい熱いものがこみ上げてきますね。
デビューからもう25年ですか。すごいですね。未だ衰えないエネルギー。
これからもデフ・レパードであり続けてほしいです。
彼らのステージはメンバーみんなが本当に楽しんでいる様子が伺えます。見ていて気持ちがいいです。
どの曲も名曲なので本当によいDVDです。
また、時々隠しトラックに行くための表示がでたりするのでそういう意味でも楽しめるDVDです。
どうぞ安心して買ってください！

時間差発売予定のCDも興味深いが、やはりこの時代ならではのDVDで秋の夜長を過ごしたい。内容は下記の通りです。買いですね。
