今年も出ましたね、このシリーズ。
クリスマスアルバムは初めてになるのかな。
例によって、有名曲に独特のアレンジを施していて、楽しめます。
あえて原曲と違うコード進行でハーモニーを鳴らし、
その上にリードが乗っかると、
聞き慣れている曲でも新鮮に聞こえます。
選曲はポップス系ですが、
リトルドラマーボーイや「あらのの果てに」など、
トラディショナル曲のフレーズを随所に取り入れたアレンジが見事です。

そしてこの作品は、ボイスパーカッションKazzが抜け、
５人になって初めてのアルバム。
今までBaby booの大きなウリであったVPサウンドは、
このアルバムでは聴けません。
その気になれば、Shinobuが多重録音で入れることも出来ただろうに、
あえてそうしなかったのは、５人で歌っていく決意の表れか。
今後の活動にも注目したいと思います。
